I already owned the previous version of this bag, but gave it to my son. After 7 years of weekly use, it still looks almost like new — a great testament to Mammoth’s quality and durability.
So I decided to get the new Duralite Player Bag for myself. It’s lightweight, extremely well made, spacious, and feels even more refined than the previous version.
A little expensive, but considering the durability, definitely worth it. I’m confident this will be my last hockey bag. Highly recommended!
Great Bag. Hardware is solid and as advertised. Very Happy..
The bag is light, seemingly indestructible, and a great size. I like how it has an almost square cross section, which makes it tall. It has plenty of room, which means I can just throw my stuff in there without really packing it Tetris-style, and it will fit! No more tucking my shin pads into my hockey pants and one of my elbow pads into the helmet. Also, the side pockets for skates is a nice touch. The mesh pockets are generous, easy to access and deep, which keeps things inside the pocket even when I toss around the bag.
I am shocked at how light this bag is, if fits everything I need for a game. It is about a foot shorter than my previous bag which is a roller bag, I am very happy with it, craftmanship is top notch and the fact that they sent zipper lube is amazing, i never even thought about that. The straps are made from seat belt material, I used to make tow straps for recovery of stuck jeeps and trucks from this material, I would say it will never break!!
I’ve had the bag for just over two weeks and used it for a weekend tournament . Plenty big to fit all my gear comfortably. The brass zippers are tough but they do need to be waxed - included with the bag. The material seems very durable. Straps are made from seat belt like material - expecting a long life from this bag.
